Easter Invites in the Midst of a Global Pandemic
How to Invite People to Easter this Year
Easter is going to look a little different this year. Sadly, we won't be able to do the normal Easter routine with egg hunts, church services, and family gatherings. While this can be deflating, we can still rejoice in the truth of Easter! Easter is an ultimate day of hope, where Jesus defeated death, sin and the grave! In this season our world needs hope and life more than ever before, so we want as many people as possible to experience online Easter this upcoming Sunday! Below are some ideas that you can utilize to invite people you know, and don't know, to join you on Easter Sunday!
The list is endless, be creative. There has never been a time in history where it was easier to invite people to join you for church. Be proactive and let's believe that God is going to move in a huge way this Easter Sunday!!
- "Chalk the Walk" - If you live in a neighborhood consider decorating the end of your driveway with the information of our Easter services. Be sure to include our website (www.churchatthegrove.com) and service times (9:15am, 11am, or 5pm) Great creative way to spread the word while people are out walking throughout the day.
- Have your kids color pictures with a note inviting their friends or neighbors to join them online for Easter.
- Egg someone's yard by hiding easter eggs for their kids to find with a note inviting them to join you on Easter Sunday morning at church.
- Create a sign for your yard and take pictures with your family with the sign and post it on social media.
- Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt - Copy Easter eggs on paper and place in your neighborhood mailboxes or neighbors pick up on your porch with an invite to our Easter service. Ask neighbors to hide an egg in their window. Children can search the neighborhood for all the "hidden" eggs in windows.
- Print out your own invite cards with all the information people will need to access the Easter service on Sunday.
- Utilize social media. Record a video of you inviting people to join you on Sunday morning, post images, send direct messages to people inviting them to join you.
- Prayer walk your neighborhood as you ask God to move in the homes of your neighbors. Pray also for guidance of who you can specifically invite and then invite them.
- Call or text people and personally invite them to join you.
The list is endless, be creative. There has never been a time in history where it was easier to invite people to join you for church. Be proactive and let's believe that God is going to move in a huge way this Easter Sunday!!
