Covid-19 - Relief Assistance

Covid-19 Assistance

Through our most recent church survey we have learned about needs within our church, primarily with financial assistance and emotional support. We want to do our best to love, serve and help you during this season, which is why we have setup the following services.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE - Because of the generosity of our church, we have been able to designate funds to directly help people within our congregation. If you are in need of help with groceries, rent, utilities, or some other need, please let us know. We would love to help those in need, since this is what the church is all about. If you need financial assistance please email nathan@churchatthegrove.com or call our church office at 678-729-8501and we will do our best to help meet your needs.

EMOTIONAL SUPPORT - Our pastors and staff are eager and willing to meet with you to pray and help you work through these difficult days. We also have incredible counselors in, and outside, of our church that we can refer you to if you are in more of a crisis situation. If you are in need of prayer, counseling, or just a good conversation, please call our office 678-729-8501 ext. 6 or email info@churchatthegrove.com. It is okay to not be okay, but it is not okay to stay that way.

CHILDCARE - We understand that people are going back to work, and that school is out for the rest of the year. Although we do not have a day care setup, if you need help finding childcare we can try to help arrange something. Please email Katie or Chelsea.

Service Opportunities
We have been blown away by the number of people that want to help serve our community and church during this season, but have struggled to find service opportunities because we have been under a shelter-in-place order. However, we do have several desperate needs now that things are starting to open back up.

CARE & PRAYER TEAM - There are a number of families in our church that are in need of personal connection and community. We are looking for a dozen or more people that would be willing to call and check up with people within our congregation. This ministry involves following up with families on a weekly basis to make sure they are doing well and to see if anything is needed.

CHILDCARE - With school being out for the semester and people returning to work, parents are in need of childcare throughout the day. If you are comfortable helping with childcare, please let us know and we can try to arrange that for those families that are struggling.

DELIVERIES - Even though things are beginning to open back up we know that there are still people in our church that feel uncomfortable leaving their homes because of older age or underlying health issues. If you need someone to help with groceries or other deliveries, please let us know.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
- While some people are struggling, we know that over 1/2 of our church has seen no change in their finances and many have benefited from tax returns and stimulus checks. If you would like to make a financial donation to help families in need you can do so here, https://www.churchatthegrove.com/give and choose the "Love Offering Fund"

CLEANING AND SANITIZING THE CHURCH BUILDINGS - With Governor Kemp's Kemp's recent statement, we know things are slowly opening up again. We don't know the exact date we will be able to meet again physically, but we do know that day is coming and we want to be prepared. We need to do a deep clean of both of our campuses to make sure that it is safe for our church family and our guests. If you are able to help clean, please let us know

If you are able to help in any of these areas (or would like to volunteer for something that wasn't listed) please email nathan@churchatthegrove.comand we will get you setup to help.
